This mini conference “Pre-fabricated building solutions – highlights from the MeeFS project” marks the end of the EU-funded MeeFS (Multifunctional Energy Efficient Facade System for Building Retrofitting) project, which was launched in January 2012. This final event and networking reception will take place on 16 November 2016 from 16:30 to 19:00 (including the cocktail reception) at the Renewable Energy House, Rue d’Arlon 63-65, Brussels, Belgium. MeeFS set out to develop an innovative, energy efficient, multifunctional façade system for retrofitting, geared towards the residential building sector across Europe.
Over the course of five years the multidisciplinary team of 16 partners from 9 countries worked collaboratively on the façade development (including passive and active technologies, energy management system, non-intrusive installation, and new composite structural material), façade evaluation (of energy efficiency, composite material life cycle and fire resistance), and façade demonstration in a real life building in Merida, Spain.
The project’s final event is open to all stakeholders interested in energy efficient solutions in the construction sector. During the conference, the partners will showcase the technology developed, share the lessons learned from the MeeFS project and discuss how to bring multifunctional pre-fabricated facades closer to the market. The event will allow for an exchange of views on the proposed innovative technologies, and facilitate networking opportunities and synergies with potential early adopters and users throughout Europe, and will be followed by a cocktail reception.
The event is free of charge, but the registration is necessary. To register please follow the link: http://meefsfinalevent.eventbrite.com
Please note that the registration closes on 9 November 2016. Agenda and further details will be distributed in October. For more information please visit the MEEFS website, or contact Ms Karolina Krzastek at karolina.krzastek@greenovate.eu.
MeeFS stands for “Multifunctional Energy Efficient Façade System for Building Retrofitting”. The project aims to develop, evaluate and demonstrate an innovative multifunctional façade system geared towards the residential building sector with the potential to significantly contribute to energy efficiency gains in buildings across Europe. MeeFs involves 16 partners, is financed by the European Commission under the 7th Framework Programme for Research and is set to run until December 2016.
